After you have uploaded your video and it has finished processing you want to publish it. Depending on your what your technical environment looks like, this can be done in different ways.

Embed

The most straightforward way is to copy the embed code of the video and paste this into an HTML editor of the website where you want to publish the video. You find the embed codes to copy-paste or drag and drop in Console on the media page or in the media list.

Moderation states

Moderation states are used by the API to manage what content is meant to be shown to viewers. If you have a Quickchannel video site connected to your account, all videos that are set to Approved will be published on the video site.

The moderation states may also be used by Console users to determine whether media is approved for usage. This usage of moderation status is only suggested, whether it is used is completely up to your workplace and how you have decided to use the Console in your workflow, it is not enforced by Quickchannel.

Approved

  • Public to the APIs
  • Means the video is approved for usage by a user with publishing status on your account.

Not approved

  • Not public to the APIs
  • Means the video is disapproved for usage by a user with publishing status on your account.

Not moderated

  • Not public to the APIs
  • Means the video has not yet been moderated, it is neither approved nor disapproved yet.
