Media Page – Security
The Security tab lets you control who can watch your videos using password protection, domain restrictions, IP ranges, geographic restrictions and Single Sign-On (SSO).
Go to Media, select a video and open the Security tab.
Password protection
Enter a password under Password to access media to require viewers to enter the correct password before playing the video.
Access restrictions
You can configure the following restrictions individually for each video:
| Setting | Description |
|---|---|
| Domain | Allow playback only on permitted domains. |
| IP Range | Allow playback only from specified IP addresses or ranges. |
| Geolocking | Allow playback only from selected countries. |
| Single Sign-On | Require viewers to authenticate through your configured SSO provider. |
For each restriction, you can choose:
- No restrictions – Disable the restriction for the selected video.
- Account Default – Use the account's security settings.
- Custom – Configure restrictions specifically for this video.
When using custom restrictions, enter the permitted domains, IP ranges or countries in the corresponding fields.
Domain restrictions and Quick Links
Domain restrictions also apply to video Quick Links. If a viewer opens a Quick Link on a domain that is not permitted, playback is blocked.
Single Sign-On (SSO)
If SSO is configured for your account, you can require viewers to sign in before accessing a video.
Select On (Custom groups possible) to enable SSO protection.
Under Permitted SSO groups, you can restrict playback to viewers who belong to specific SSO groups. Viewers only need to belong to one of the listed groups to gain access.
Note: These restrictions control who can watch the video. They do not manage group-based permissions or access to the Quickchannel Console.
Important information
- Media-level security settings can override the corresponding account defaults.
- Security restrictions also apply to video Quick Links.
- These restrictions do not prevent authorized users from viewing media in the Console.
For account-wide security settings, see Security page – Configuring default media access restrictions.
