Subtitles and Closed Captions

You can add subtitles by selecting a language and choosing one of the following options:

  • Upload – Upload an existing subtitle file.
  • Create – Create subtitles manually using the Subtitles Editor.

Existing subtitles are listed by language, with options to change their visibility, edit, download or delete them.

For detailed instructions, see Uploading subtitles and Subtitles Editor.

Subtitle visibility

The default visibility of new subtitles is configured under Settings → Subtitles → Default visibility.

If set to Hidden, new subtitles will not be available to viewers until you make them visible using the eye icon.

This allows you to review and correct subtitles before publishing them.
