The Trim tab lets you remove unwanted content from the beginning or end of a video.

Go to Media, select a video and open the Trim tab.

Understanding the timeline

The timeline contains three markers:

• Playhead – Shows your current playback position. Moving it does not change the trim selection.
• Start marker – Defines where the trimmed video begins.
• End marker – Defines where the trimmed video ends.

Tip: The playhead and start marker initially overlap at the beginning of the timeline, making the start marker difficult to drag directly. Playing the video and using the trim controls is often easier.

Trimming a video

You can set the trim points using the timeline controls or by entering exact timestamps in the Details section.

1. Play the video or use the timeline to navigate to where you want the trimmed video to begin.
2. Pause at the desired position and click > to set the start point.
3. Continue playback or navigate to where you want the video to end.
