Adding a Call to Action (CTA)
Follow these simple steps to add a Call to Action overlay in your video:
1. Open the Call to Action Panel
Click on the Call to Action tab in the editor.
2. Add a New CTA
Click the + Add CTA button.
3. Choose a CTA Preset
Select one of the available CTA presets:
Call to Action – includes text, button, and description.
Button only – displays a single clickable button.
Download – allows viewers to download a file or resource.
4. Configure CTA Details
Fill out the following fields:
CTA Title – the main headline or message.
More Information – optional supporting text.
Button Text – label for the call-to-action button.
Link – the URL where users will be directed when they click the button.
Set the timing:
Displays at – choose when the CTA should appear in the video.
Duration – choose how long the CTA should stay visible.
5. Save the CTA
Click Save to add the CTA to the timeline.
The EDIT Call-to-Action (CTA) feature in VOD is automatically included for all customers using the Video Editor within our End-to-End platform.
The following guide walks you through how to find, use, and manage CTAs in your videos.
1. Accessing the CTA Editor
Open your project in the Video Editor.
Go to the Call to Action tab.
Click the CTA Editor button.
This opens the CTA Editor interface.
2. Adding a CTA
Browse available templates under:
My templates
Account templates
Stock templates
Choose a template and drag it onto the timeline.
3. Previewing a CTA
Move the timeline indicator to the point where the CTA is placed.
The CTA will appear in the preview player.
To preview with transitions, move the indicator slightly before the CTA and play the video.
4. Editing a CTA
In the timeline, click the CTA you want to edit.
All editable settings will appear in the right-hand panel.
Adjust the following properties:
Text properties
Display timing
Expansion direction
Transition
You can also trim the CTA directly in the timeline to adjust its display duration.
5. Changing CTA Position
Move the timeline indicator to the CTA’s location.
The CTA will display in the preview player.
Click and drag the CTA to move it to a new position.
Tip: When changing the position, update the Expansion Direction and Transition settings so everything stays synchronized.
6. Deleting a CTA
Hover over the CTA in the timeline.
Click the bin icon to delete it.
7. Creating a CTA Template
From an Existing CTA
In the timeline, select the CTA you want to reuse.
Click Create template.
In the Create new CTA template modal, enter the template details.
Choose where to save it:
My templates (personal use)
Account templates (shared with all users)
By Cloning an Existing Template
Browse My templates, Account templates, or Stock templates.
Find the template you want to clone and click the clone icon.
Fill in the template details in the modal.
Choose to save under your user or account.
8. Previewing a CTA Template
For a basic preview, click the preview icon.
For a detailed preview, click the edit icon to open it in the CTA Editor.
9. Editing a CTA Template
Browse available templates until you find the one you want to edit.
Note: Stock templates cannot be edited. Clone them first into My templates or Account templates.
Click the edit icon to open the Edit CTA Template view.
You can edit:
Template name and location
Text properties
Display timing
Expansion direction
Transition
10. Deleting a CTA Template
Go to My templates or Account templates.
Locate the template to delete.
Note: Stock templates cannot be deleted.
Click the bin icon.
