Editor templates: Create a video from a template
When initiating a new editor project, you can opt for the "No template" choice, leading to a blank canvas. Alternatively, selecting from the templates crafted by your organization will kickstart your project with pre-existing media on the timeline. This may include elements like a predefined intro and outro.
Start editing video using a template
Choose a template from the list, or choose the No template to start with an empty editor project.
In this article, we'll guide you through the process of creating a video using the "My Standard Template." Click on the template to see basic information and an overview of the project and the different editor elements. Confirm the template by clicking Use template.
Is this example, we have several elements, automatically added on the timeline. We have a text in the text track, an intro image, the main track (that we'll replace with new content), and an outro image and an audio track at the start of the projects.
Navigate to the video tab, then seamlessly drag and drop the desired video onto the main video placeholder within the timeline.
If the video differs in length from the placeholder, a prompt will appear, allowing you to choose whether to adjust the elements following the main video or maintain the current project length.
Media dropped on the main video placeholder is longer than the placeholder.
Choose Insert and push to move the end QC logo in the example above. Alternatively, select "Trim to Fit" to align the media with the current template's main video placeholder length.
