Looping Video Poster

Last Updated 2 years ago

You can choose to have part of your video playing in a loop instead of using a static poster image. The selected part of the video will loop muted until the viewer presses play to start the full video.

To enable Video poster for a video, go to the Appearance section of media details for the video, then under Poster Image you have a toggle button for "Video poster" as shown above. After enabling video poster the "Edit" button will appear.

Press the "Edit" button in order to select part of the video to use for the video poster, move the red indicators on the timeline or enter timestamps manually to select the start and stop time. When you are done adjusting the start and stop time, simply press "Close".

You can now go to the overview page and you will see your new Video poster play. See example below.

In browsers that doesn't support video poster, the player will automatically display the regular static poster image instead.

The video poster functionality is tested to work in the following browsers:

  • Firefox
  • Chrome
  • Safari
  • Safari (iOS version 10+)
  • Chrome on Android (54+)
  • Internet Explorer (10+)
  • Edge
